Dr. Barbara Gaunt-Jaehne, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Barbara Gaunt-Jaehne completed her graduate studies at the University of Memphis and received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and graduated high in her class Magna Cum Laude. She has served as Chairman of the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology for eight terms. She previously served on the Probable Cause Panel of that Board.
Dr. Gaunt-Jaehne specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing, balance and related disorders, with an emphasis on audiologic rehabilitation. She is a Board Certified Audiologist by the American Academy of Audiology, a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and Florida Academy of Audiology, and a member of the Florida and American Speech, Language and Hearing Associations. She has been in practice in Venice and Englewood since 1976. The office has been voted #1 Hearing Center in Venice and Englewood, Florida.
Aside from professional commitments, Barbara enjoys fishing, boating, skiing, NASCAR and being active in her community. She is currently Past President of the Venice Cotillion Club, Inc., Past President-Elect of the Manatee Community College Women’s Board Foundation, Past-President of the Sarasota Republican Club, Past Englewood Chamber of Commerce Secretary and Board Member. Barbara is also a past executive board member of the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Alexandra Reich, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Alexandra Reich is a certified audiologist with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Montclair State University in New Jersey. Prior to that, she received a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders, with minors in linguistics and deaf studies, from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Dr. Reich specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing and balance disorders, with a focus on aural rehabilitation and amplification. She is passionate about improving people’s lives with thorough and suitable aural rehabilitation, and she enjoys connecting with her patients.
Dr. Reich recently moved to Venice from New York City, where she worked for a bustling Ear, Nose, and Throat practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Born and raised in Upstate New York, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.
Venice Office Manager
Lori has been with Medical Gardens Hearing Center since 2010. As Program Manager she oversees all locations, and she also manages the Venice office. Lori has an extensive healthcare background, which includes administration assisting, scheduling, billing, purchasing, marketing, training, and health care management. Lori has a long history of volunteering and enjoys family time, traveling, hiking, and biking
Originally from Massachusetts, Karen has lived in Florida since 2004 and is the office manager at our Englewood office. Karen’s vast experiences include roles as a former business owner, executive marketer, administration support, and human resources. She prides herself on offering exceptional customer service and is excited to learn about the audiology industry.
