Our Audiologists
Medical Gardens Hearing and Balance Center provides a full service hearing rehabilitation program. Each hearing care provider has been educated extensively in the latest diagnostic hearing measurement techniques and the most up to date computerized hearing instrument fittings. Our goal is to understand the impact hearing loss has on one's quality of life and make quality hearing systems available to meet those needs.
Dr. Barbara Gaunt- Jaehne, Au.D., completed her graduate studies at the University of Memphis and received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and graduated high in her class Magna Cum Laude. She is Chairman of the Board and serving her second term appointed by the Governor of Florida on the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology. She previously served on the Probable Cause Panel of that Board. Dr. Gaunt-Jaehne specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing, balance and related disorders, with an emphasis on audiologic rehabilitation. She is a Board Certified Audiologist by the American Academy of Audiology, a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and Florida Academy of Audiology, and a member of the Florida and American Speech, Language and Hearing Associations. She has been in practice in Venice and Englewood since 1976. The office has been voted #1 Hearing Center in Venice and Englewood Florida. Aside from professional commitments, Dr. Gaunt-Jaehne is married to Patrick E. Jaehne, who is Medical Gardens Hearing Center's Vice President of marketing and operations. Barbara is also mother of 25 year old, Natalie who recently graduated from The University of Tennessee and is the Regional assistant Director for the American Cancer Society in Chicago IL. She enjoys golfing, boating, skiing, NASCAR and being active in her community. She is currently Past President of the Venice Cotillion Club, Inc., Past President -Elect of the Manatee Community College Women's Board Foundation, Past-President of the Sarasota Republican Club, Past Englewood Chamber of Commerce Secretary and Board Member. Barbara currently is on the executive board of the American Cancer Society and is very active in their local chapter.
Ashley Camblin, HAS licensed Audiology Assistant, who is a successful hearing device wearer for 23 years. She adds a wealth of experience and compassion to our team. Ashley is also a state licensed Hearing Aid Specialist who has been Dr. Barbara Jaehne's right hand for 2 years. She has had extensive training and is VERY knowledgeable on all aspects of audiologic rehab.
