Dr. Barbara Gaunt-Jaehne completed her graduate studies at the University of Memphis and received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in her class. She has served as chairman of the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology for eight terms. She previously served on the probable cause panel of that Board.
Dr. Gaunt-Jaehne specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing, balance, and related disorders, with an emphasis on audiologic rehabilitation. She is a board-certified audiologist by the American Academy of Audiology, a fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and Florida Academy of Audiology, and a member of the Florida and American Speech, Language and Hearing Associations. She has been in practice in Venice and Englewood since 1976. The office has been voted the No. 1 hearing center in Venice and Englewood, Florida.
Aside from professional commitments, Barbara enjoys fishing, boating, skiing, NASCAR, and being active in her community. She is a past president of the Venice Cotillion Club, Inc., past president-elect of the Manatee Community College Women’s Board Foundation, past president of the Sarasota Republican Club, and past Englewood Chamber of Commerce secretary and board member. Barbara is also a past executive board member of the American Cancer Society.
